Oculus Go is the 3rd headset released by Oculus, the VR hardware company bought by Facebook back in 2014. Prior to the Oculus Go, when you needed a VR Headset for an event or activity your options were:
Option 1 is a mess because of the wires and in most cases you won’t need a separate computer, Option 2 is the cheapest but doesn’t give the best experience (it also doesn’t have a controller), Option 3 is the best in terms of being stand-alone but it’s not cheap since you need to buy the headset and a compatible phone.
With the Oculus go you get a not so expensive stand-alone VR headset ($199 for the 32GB variant) that is sleek and comfortable to wear. Even I was surprised when I tried it for the first time. Here’s a video of me trying it out while casting it to my TV.
